Coco’s Tee Boutique was built on resilience, reinvention, and the belief that every woman deserves to feel confident in her own skin.
I was raised by a hardworking single mother who taught me the value of perseverance and determination. Life presented challenges early on, and at just 16 years old I became a mom to my incredible daughter. Becoming a young mother meant growing up quickly, but it also gave me my greatest motivation: building a better life and creating opportunities that I didn’t always have.
While raising my daughter, I worked hard to continue my education and build a career. In 2011, I earned my GED and went on to study medical billing and coding. That decision opened the door to a career in healthcare, where I eventually grew into my current role as an Administrative Manager overseeing a team of Insurance Specialists for a radiology imaging company.
Along the way, life also brought me unexpected blessings. In 2017, I met my husband, Cartez, who has been one of my biggest supporters. His encouragement and belief in me have played a huge role in helping me pursue my goals and build the life we have today.
In 2024, after losing 85 pounds and rediscovering my confidence, I launched Coco’s Tee Boutique. What started as a small dream quickly turned into a passion project rooted in empowerment. I wanted to create a brand that celebrates women of all shapes, sizes, and walks of life — because confidence isn’t about perfection, it’s about owning who you are.
In the early days, I built the boutique from the ground up — even driving for DoorDash to help cover startup costs while running the business myself. In my first year, Coco’s Tee Boutique reached four figures in sales, and by the second year it grew into a five-figure business with its own booth in a local indoor marketplace.
Today, Coco’s Tee Boutique is more than just clothing. It’s a reminder that it’s never too late to rebuild your confidence, chase a dream, or create something meaningful.
